					Peoples should first look at this place before going to lalibela I have stayed in fikir lodge for 3 nights i reserved single double room but when we arived in lalibela someone from the lodge was assigned to picked us from the airport and When we arrived at the lodge unexpected surprise the owner of the lodge was a young and smart person he offered us a king size bed withe the same price withe the booking reservation

He made our trips in lalibela especial and make us fre Ethiopian cofee

The lodge was very clean and comfortable quite

Highly recommended to any one going to lalibela

I highly recommend people to stay in this lovely lodge

Nice location, just a 25 minute walk to the churches. There’s an amazing view right outside. Rooms were spacious, beds were comfy, and the staff were all friendly and helpful. The free breakfast (served at their sister hotel just a short walk away) was pretty good. I could choose anything on the breakfast menu. Airport transfers only cost 400 Birrs roundtrip. 

I would recommend staying here when the conflict is over in the region. The situation is still tense in Lalibela, armed conflict still occurs around town, the military is everywhere, there’s zero internet access because the government blocks it, so there are genuine concerns about safety. If you still choose to visit in spite of the present situation, you can’t go wrong with this place.  - 11/01/2023

Nati was very helpful in finding us a great guide, and also helped us out when our flight home was cancelled. We would highly recommend our guide, Yohannes "John" Melkamu. He gave us a 2-day tour of all of the rock-hewn churches. Having been born and raised in Lalibela, he was able to point out many interesting tidbits, highlights and local lore of the place. He also helped us arrange very reasonably-priced transportation to Bahir Dar by private mini-bus. His Whatsapp number is +251906359488. He even checked up on us after our flights were canceled to make sure we got back home safe. 

The breakfast at the lodge is definitely geared towards westerners, but we were actually hoping for traditional Ethiopian cuisine.  - 3/01/2020
